Windsor Heights
The city of Windsor Heights is a relatively new community that was incorporated in 1941. Windsor Heights has the unique distinction of being the only suburban community within the west housing growth cluster that is completely surrounded by other municipalities, these being Des Moines, Clive, Urbandale, and West Des Moines.
Windsor Heights has a distinctive niche as a quality small community within the state's major metropolitan area. It is unmatched in strategic location, convenient to all of the metropolitan and suburban amenities.

EDUCATION
Windsor Heights is served by two school districts. Residents east of 70th St. attend the Des Moines Ind. School District. Community residents west of 70th St. attend the West Des Moines Community schools. Please contact respective school districts for specific information.
